The town remained silent, as I walked back to the Stock Pot Inn. I reached the doorway of the inn, when I was then startled by quick, soft voices. I hesitantly peeked around the corner of the inn, and up a small stairway. A girl and a boy stood in a large area above the stairs, as the both quietly spoke. The small, young boy had short, red hair, fair skin, and bright, red eyes. The girl- the girl! That’s the very same girl I saw in my dream last night! Once again, my dreams have linked me to reality.
I then slowly and steadily crept up the stairs; they didn’t seem to notice my presence. The boy then took the girl by the hand, and let her straight into-
A wall!? That kid just walked through a solid, cobblestone wall!
They then disappeared into the wall, as I then followed close behind them. I came to the wall, and slowly reached out my hand; sure enough, my hand went right through the false wall. I made my way through, and into a large, cobblestone room. A long hallway filled with water that reached to the edge of the floor led out of the room; large pillars were scattered about the water. They were low enough to be stepped on, and used to jump across.
I hesitantly made my way towards the pillars, and slowly began to accelerate forward. Coming to yet another hallway, I ran past the corners in it, and into a much larger cobblestone room. The room had a few torches spread about, and a long ladder, leading up and out. The opening in which the ladder led to was covered by a velvety curtain.
I climbed the tall ladder, and passed through the heavy curtain, coming into a colorful room, with a long stairway that twisted upwards. A gentle atmosphere drifted through the area in which I now stood. I began to hear voices, as I then ascended the tall, windy stairway. I stopped at the top and hid behind the rails of the staircase; I listened to the whispering voices, which spoke:
“Oh, goodness; it’s amazing! There’s Ursa Major, and Orion! And there’s Gemini!” The girl spoke in her familiar, western accent.
“Wow; you must really like astronomy!” The boy laughed.
“I love science.” The girl sighed.
“Well, then, you’re welcome here anytime you like.” The boy said, gently.
“Thank you so much; I really needed this... this is absolutely stunning...”
There was a short silence, when the boy then suddenly interrupted and said:
“So wait... where did you say you were from, again?”
“Me? I come from Hyrule. Lon Lon Ranch, to be exact.” She replied.
Hyrule... Did she just say Hyrule!?
Sani then jumped off of my shoulder, and up, into the air; she was now right in plain sight.
“Sani!” I growled.
“Oh; look!” The boy exclaimed.
I then quickly swiped my hand up, trying to grab Sani, and pull her back down to me.
Great; she totally just blew my cover.
“Oh!” Both the girl and the boy gasped.
Slowly poking my head out from behind the banister, I saw the two of them looking directly at me. My eyes grew wide, as they stood frozen. A cold silence filled the room, as I then stood up, and blurted out:
“Uh, I can explain! I was going back to the Stock Pot Inn, and I saw you two go into the wall, so I followed you! Plus, I’ve seen the girl in my dreams before, so-“
“Wait,” The girl interrupted.
“You’ve seen me in your dreams before...?” She whispered, slowly walking towards me.
“Well, I- I have these nightmares, you see. In the nightmares, I always see someone I don’t know or recognize. Then, after that dream, I actually meet the person in real life...” I stuttered.
“And in my dream last night, I saw you... you were crying; you said you wanted to go back home...”
A sudden silence filled the room, as I fidgeted with my hands, and looked around nervously.
“That... that actually happened,” The girl gasped.
I then looked at her, and studied her face, which bestowed an intrigued expression.
“And, you said you were from Hyrule,” Sani added.
“Wait... do you... do you know of Hyrule!?” She exclaimed, as her face brightened.
“Actually, that’s where I came from...I was somehow transported here from Hyrule,” I said to her glowing eyes.
“Oh, thank the goddesses I’m not alone!” She cried, wrapping her arms around me.
Then gently letting go of me, she then whispered:
“My name’s Jenniti; I come from Lon Lon Ranch—in Hyrule, of course.”
“My name’s Stormy, and this is my fairy, Sani; we come from- places all over Hyrule,” I laughed.
Smiling, Jenniti then turned towards the boy, and announced:
“This is Kajei; He runs this here observatory.”
“Really,” I smiled, walking over to him.
“Yup!” He said with a sweet, childish grin.
“Do you wanna look through my telescope? You can see anything and everything in the sky; all the way from stars, to distant planets!” He exclaimed.
“Sure,” I laughed, nearing the large telescope.
“Wow; this is amazing!” I gasped, seeing hundreds of stars and planets scattered about the night sky.
“Oh; it’s time!” Kajei excitedly squealed.
“Time for what?” I asked, removing my eye away from the view of the large abyss.
“Time to head off to Great Bay and stargaze!” He said, grabbing a small telescope, and heading towards the door.
